    InstructionsStay informed on the situation. Secure and/or move assets away from vulnerable areas (car, caravan along rivers/streams, basements). Cleaning of drainage paths and culverts is recommended. Keep away from rivers and streams with high flow.

    ConsequencesLocal flooding and/or erosional damage in streams and small rivers. Stormwater in urban areas.

  2. Applies to deler av Sør-Norge

    Rain is expected up to 1000 meters above sea level. Landslides may be expected. Exposed railways and roads may be closed. Slushflows are triggered even in relatively gentle slopes, where water accumulates. Slushflows follow terrain depressions and may develop into debris flows. Steep slopes, as well as streams and rivers with high discharge, are particularly exposed. Relatively high temperatures and windy conditions causes significant snowmelting. Groundwater and soil moisture are high.

    InstructionsKeep away from steep slopes, as well as streams and rivers with high discharge. Keep water paths and culverts free of snow, ice, gravel, waste, twigs and leaves. Clogged waterways with dammed water may cause landslides.

    ConsequencesLandslides may be expected. Exposed railways and roads may be closed. Debris flows may reach the valley bottom even if they are triggered high in the terrain.

  3. Applies to Vestlandet south of Stad

    From early Saturday morning to Saturday afternoon 50-70 mm of precipitation is expected in 12 hours. The precipitation is expected as snow above approximated 1000-1200 m. Largest accumulations are expected in middle regions.

    InstructionsConsider the need for preventive measures. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors. Check road reports (175.no). Adjust the speed and use caution while driving.

    ConsequencesRisk of flooding of low-lying areas in densely populated areas. Check varsom.no for more information. Locally difficult driving conditions, especially at waterways. Roads may be closed. Some journeys may have longer travel time. Road conditions affected with road spray and hydroplaning in some places.

    ConsequencesLoose items may be taken by the wind. Possibly cancelled departures for ferry, plane, or other transport. Bridges may be closed. Some journeys may have longer travel times. The power supply may be impacted, due to tree(s) falling over. Some roads may be closed due to trees or other objects in the road. Blowing snow causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads. High waves may cause damage to infrastructure and buildings in the coastal zone. The strong wind may cause locally high waves in fjords and lakes.
