    InstructionsTravelling in avalanche terrain requires advanced knowledge, experience in route finding and ability to identify the avalanche problem. Generally, it is recommended to avoid avalanche terrain. Avalanches may hit some avalanche-exposed roads and occasionally settlements.

  3. Applies to Nordland and Troms

    Tuesday to Wednesday afternoon it is expected above zero temperatures and a lot of rain in Nordland and Troms. It is expected 30-60mm precipitation in 24 hours, on Helgeland locally 60-90mm.

    InstructionsConsider the need for preventive measures. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors. Check road reports (175.no). Adjust the speed and use caution while driving.

    ConsequencesRisk of flooding of low-lying areas in densely populated areas. Check varsom.no for more information. Locally difficult driving conditions, especially at waterways. Roads may be closed. Road conditions affected with road spray and hydroplaning in some places.

  4. Applies to deler av Trøndelag, Nordland og Troms

    Landslides may be expected. Exposed railways and roads may be closed. Heavy rain is expected. Relatively high temperatures and windy conditions causes significant snowmelting. The expected rain will increase the danger of landslides, especially where groundwater and soil moisture are already high. Risk of slushflows is especially high in areas with more than 50 cm snow. Slushflows are triggered even in relatively gentle slopes, where water accumulates. Slushflows follow terrain depressions and may develop into debris flows.
